"Teteg" adalah salah satu garapan tari
tradisi kelompok berdurasi lima menit. Teteg digarap oleh Cupumanik Art dan
digunakan untuk mengisi workshop pada salah satu Institut Seni di Surakarta.
Teteg terinspirasi dari salah satu tokoh wanita dalam pewayangan Mahabarata.
Wanita bernama Pergiwa atau istri dari Gathotkaca. Mengisahkan emosi dari
keteguhan hati seorang wanita bernama Pergiwa yang yakin kepada cinta sejatinya
yaitu Gathotkaca. Pergiwa yang menolak lamaran laki-laki lain bernama Lesmana,
memutuskan untuk pergi bersama Gathotkaca dan hidup berdua bahagia.
Teteg menyampaikan suasana kesedihan
seorang wanita, kemarahan yang hanya bisa ia pendam, dan keteguhan hati wanita
untuk memilih jalan menuju takdirnya.
"Teteg" is one of a group dance work from Cupumanik Art with five minutes duration. This dance made for a workshop in on of Art Institute in Surakarta. Teteg inspired from on of woman character in Mahabharata Story. That woman is Pergiwa, Gathotkaca's wife. This dance tells a story about a firmness of Pergiwa's heart. She believes that her true love is Gathotkaca. Pergiwa refuse to accept Lesmana's proposal to marry her and deciced to run with Gathotkaca and live together.
